About the Farm
Situated in a part of the proposed Bulura river conservancy, the farm consists of 120 ha of natural bush with subtropical thicket in the valleys. It has nine dams, river beds with little clay pools and is home to a variety of indigenous animals such as warthogs, porcupine, bushbuck, duiker, ant bear, otters, and lynx. The farm has a diverse bird population with over 100 species of indigenous birds.
The top part of the property houses the playground, touch farm and teahouse as well as a subtropical garden, an orchard, an established organic vegetable garden, chickens and a kraal. These components provide the teahouse and the guests with healthy food, freshly picked fruit, fresh organic eggs and dairy products made with the fresh milk produced by a small herd of (tame) cows. The cows are milked by hand twice a day and the children are welcome to join in and give it a try!
